Dismantling the housing

At 4th September 2010, I opened the housing cover of the rear axle. I remember that another fellow jeeper told me some years ago that this could be a full floating one, although I´m not sure...
Well, the gasket was OK and I began to cleaning it, with some petrol and pieces of a blanket. And patience, too!

Still working on the drake drum shoe set!

2th of September 2011...I was still working on the brake drum shoe set, cleaning them and getting dirty me!

Working on the rear axle

At 28th August 2011, it began what I called serious work: I started with the rear axle, dismantling and cleaning the brakes.

I began dismantling the plate assembly from the wheel stud, in order to dismantle too the brake drums shoe set and working on them.

How to straighten a chassis

Well, you have known probably that some people straighten a chassis in many, many different ways, but I have never listened about do this work with the help of a workshop elevator...also with the help of a couple of friends, mr. Baldu and Jesús Mari. Thanks a lot, fellows!

Cleaning the firewall

Ok, this isn´t a really hard work but at least I started cleaning the isolating stuff of the red bodytub. I suppose that his latest owner -as he installed a diesel engine- wanted to avoted the noise and fumes of it.

By the way, the serial number of this dataplate says 452GB1 12207. Cool!

And here we´re!!! January 2010!

Well, at 9th January 2010 we moved with the help of several fellows of the new warehouse my wreck to the new location. He, it has snown some we suffered several problems driving the truck!!! Snow and ice is rather difficult combination! :-)

But at last we finished the work. I have uploaded too a few pics of the other vehicles at the place: Mercedes coupé, Citröen Dyane 6...

Also, you can see at last pic a Spanish made Seat 600 D (in yellow collour).

New year, new place!!!

Well, 2010 started and the crew decided to move the whole group to a new place. So, we founded another warehouse, and after some works, did by the owner, we did a few improvements, too. I mean a new painting at floor to mark our car places and so. Nothing quite complicate, really!
